The Gayoso Bayou study area roughly corresponds to the area bounded by Bickford Avenue on the north, a diagonal line from Chelsea Avenue to Central Avenue and South Belvedere Boulevard on the east, the Union Pacific Railyard on the south, and a diagonal line from Central Avenue up to Union Avenue, then following along Union Avenue, then along Wolf River Lagoon on the west.
